President, Goodluck Jonathan approved re-appointment of the lawyer and administrator Bello Mahmud as Registrar-General of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) for a final term of four years.
This followed earlier recommendations by the Board of the Commission and the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Olusegun Aganga.
The re-appointment was conveyed through a letter signed by the Chairman of the Board of the Commission, Otunba Funso Lawal.
His appointment takes effect from 9th October, 2013, said Churchill Williams, Director, Public Affairs, in a statement.
It will be recalled that Mahmud had held various offices, including
Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Sokoto State, and a
member of the defunct Constituent Assembly – 1988-1989.
CAC handles the regulation and supervision of the formation, incorporation, management and winding up of companies in Nigeria.
